Trust God – Devotion

Summary

Devotion given at One Way Christian Center in Olustee, Oklahoma by Roy Moreau on Nov 3rd 2013.

When we have trials and temptation, do we endure on our own? No!  We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.  What is one of the purposes of trials and tribulation?  One of the purposes is; as God comforts us, we comfort others.  In the world we WILL have tribulation but we ALSO have peace with God.  When in 1Cor 10:13 it says “and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability.”  What is the meaning of this?  Look at the example of Peter denying Christ; he was taken to the end, a total failure on Peter’s account.  It appears all was lost but Peter was kept, Christ lost none, and Peter went on to do great things for the Lord.  God’s purpose was fulfilled despite Peter’s failure/weakness.  Let it be the same with you.

2Co 1:8-9 KJV  For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:  (9)  But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

2Co 1:4 KJV  Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
