Concerning the truth of God and the need for creeds, confessions and catechisms. (This devotion is about 10 minutes long)

Devotion Notes:
3 John 1:4 NKJV I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Uses the word 6 times in 14 verses!
One HUGE battle between the Truth of God, Lies of the Devil

What type of wisdom did Solomon ask for?
How pleased was God when he asked?

1 Kings 3:9 NKJV Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil.

Waste of time — if it’s not pleasing to God?
How muddy are the waters today? Getting worse!

• Why have we drifted away from Creeds, Confessions and Catechisms?
• Vital purpose in refuting heresy
–Jesus was a prophet
–Jesus didn’t really have a body
–Jesus didn’t really suffer
–Jesus didn’t really die (Then you’re not really saved)

The confessions change as the assaults change!
There was no need to define marriage in the past

Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. (1998)

I believe in the Bible
What do you believe the Bible means or says?
Pharisees believed in the Bible

Why do you put on the armor of GOD?
Ephesians 6:11 …that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
