Eternal Works Have Eternal Rewards

- Ordained – To appoint or make someone a priest
- Fore – Before hand
- ESV, NASB — Foreknown
- Before the angels
- Before creation
- Before Adam and Eve
- He was foreknown

- Is Jesus the plan B?

- Still don’t win
- This verse is saying, God foreordained the sacrifice of His only begotten son
- What is our view of God?

- We live in an evil world
- What is God in control of?
- Why did God allow this?
- Is there random chance?
- What has God foreordained?
- Does anything happen outside of God’s will?
- If so what?
- Is this a chess match between God and the Devil?
- Couldn’t God eliminate the Devil???
- Why not eliminate the Serpent before he meets Eve?
- Why create the Serpent to begin with?
Perfect, Decretive, Sovereign, Ultimate or Hidden will of God
- God brings to pass sovereignly, what He wills to do

Preceptive, Revealed Will of God – Precept or command of God
- He has revealed his commands
- We have the power but not the right to break
- He could destroy us just before we break his law
- No sin in heaven
- We live in a fallen world
Disposition Will of God – What he delights in
- God does not rejoice in the death of the wicked
- Yet, he wills or decrees their death
Why foreordain the cross?
- We could have bypassed the fall.
- Go directly to heaven, do no pass Go
God’s glory!

We are completely dependent upon his grace & mercy

- Through him we believe
- He is the AUTHOR of our faith
- He is the OBJECT of our faith

- Foolish things of this world – to – a royal priesthood
