So… Truth is God AND truth is the Word of God

You could say, in the beginning was the TRUTH, and the TRUTH was with God, and the TRUTH was God. Jesus Christ was in the beginning with God.

    • God is described as both LOVE and TRUTH
        • Both come from God
        • Love is a sign of being born again
        • If we can’t love each other we can’t love God
        • These are essential truths
            • No one can come to Christ who doesn’t know the truth
                • The truth is essential to salvation

                • My weakness is his strength
        • This is a daunting task, AND I alone cannot complete it
            • We ALL MUST put on the belt of truth
                • MOST IMPORTANTLY – The power of Christ is our only hope
            • we cannot shrink back even though we have many shortcomings

        • No matter how small a truth is we are commanded to obey it
    • We may be called a Reformed church but the day we stop reforming is the day we lost the battle for truth our enemy does not stop!

    • We will stand or fall based on the truth
    • Will we judge ourselves or be judged
    • We are called to judge the members within the church but judgement starts with ourselves.
        • Take this time to judge yourself
Am I patient and kind; do I boast; am I arrogant; am I rude. Do I insist on my way; am I irritable or resentful; Do I rejoice at wrongdoing, OR do I rejoice in the truth.
    • There is forgiveness in repentance to God and faith in Christ
        • The Word also commands us to repent to each other
